I wanted to execute many kinds of special calculations about "milling".
But, other cutting calculater applications could not execute these.
Thus, this application was made.
All calculation functions are able to be executed under offline.
You are able to check details of this application on the official WEB site.
Calculation functions are shown as follows;
- 1. Cutting condition -
Cutting conditions of milling can be calculated.
Cutting frequency can be calculated.
- 2. Conversion between INCH and MM -
Distance: "inch" and "mm"
Cutting Speed: SFM [feet/min] and Vc [m/min]
Feed speed: IPM [inch/minute] and Vf [mm/min]
Feed rate: IPT [inch/tooth] and fz [mm/tooth]
*SFM = Surface feet per minute
*IPM = Inch per minute
*IPT = Inch per tooth
- 3. Conversion Table of INCH and MM -
You can check the relationship between "inch" and "mm".
- 4.Underformed chip thickness and Number of engaged cutting teeth on polygonal and round inserts -
Underformed chip thickness,
Engage angle,
DIsengage angle,
Number of engaged cutting teeth,
Real cutting distance,
are calculated.
the graph of underformed chip thickness during one tool rotation and
the graph of underformed chip section during one tool rotation
can be calculated on polygonal inserts and round inserts.
Cutting force and torque during one tool rotation are also be calculated.
- 5.Chip flow direction based on Colwell Law -
- 6. True Rake and Inclination Angle -
T.R. and I.A. are calculated from R.R. and A.R, A.A..
*T.R. = True Rake, Nominal rake angle
*I.A. = Inclination Angle, Cutting edge inclination
*R.R. = Radial Rake
*A.R. = Axial Rake
*A.A. = Approach Angle
- 7. Ramping angle and Herical milling -
Max. ramping angle,
Max. and Min. herical diameter
are calculated from the insert shape.
- 8. Distance at Ramping milling -
Ramping angle,
Distance on XY-plane,
Distance along Z-axis
are calculated.
- 9. Dynamic balance -
Dynamic balance,
Centrifugal force,
Radius to refine Dynamic balance,
Weight to refine Dynamic balance
are calculated.
- 10. Conversion between angles -
